Tamborine Mountain Show and Carnival
Mid-March is SHOW TIME and our favourite of the Mt Tamborine festivals! This annual event is held at the Showgrounds and is the ultimate ‘old-fashioned’ day out for a family. Here you’ll find a real small country agricultural show experience. Petting zoo, horse shows, pavilion games and prizes. You’ll see baking, jam making, arts, photography and garden competitions that are open to entry from anyone. There’s a pet parade and a Tamborine’s Got Talent show! Tug of Wars with famous sports players dropping by and a Medieval Fashion Competition! It’s all happening at Tamborine Mountain Show!
Mt Tamborine Festivals and Events
Scarecrow Festival
September is Scarecrow Time at Tamborine Mountain! This is one of the Mt Tamborine festivals you definitely want to be part of. Usually held over three days, it is a time of live music, prizes, arts and crafts and celebrations! Join the locals to celebrate their beautiful mountain lifestyle at this huge sculpture show where the theme is, unsurprisingly, ‘scarecrows!’
Travel around town and see if you can spot all the scarecrows hiding near homes and businesses. Everyone gets in on the fun!
Springtime on the Mountain Festival – Open Gardens Trail
The last weekend in September sees the Tamborine Mountain Garden Club put on their annual event that has been running since 1983. Local gardeners proudly open their gardens to the public for three days to show off their hard work and careful planning. Trail passes can be purchased for $20 (kids are free) and you’ll receive a map to all the best spots. This is a very inspiring event that will see you heading back home and looking for more creative ways you can be using your own green space.
