miniBOUNCE: Jump into Brisbane’s Best Indoor Playspace for Kids Under 6

miniBOUNCE recently opened at Westfield Carindale and it’s been purpose built to deliver maximum fun for little humans. Our preschoolers just loved that no BIG kids were allowed!

As fans of BOUNCE, we had really high expectations of their new indoor playspace when it arrived in Brisbane. The great news is we can report that mini bounce Carindale definitely didn’t disappoint! With it’s vibrant colours, mini trampolines, multi-storey playground and HUGE ball pit it is an absolute winner with kids under 6 years. Plus, it’s location within Westfield Carindale means you can sort out your shopping all in one place.

The other thing that makes us extra big fans of mini bounce is parents are invited to sit back and relax in the café while the mini bounce ‘hosts’ (staff) facilitate an awesome experience for little ones!

About mini bounce

Mini bounce is an active adventure-play centre specially designed for pre-school kids in Westfield Carindale, Brisbane. Everything at mini bounce is designed to offer fun, active-play experiences that help little kids develop a love for physical activity.

The play features of mini bounce Carindale cater to walking age toddlers through to 6-year-old adrenaline hunters.

Mini trampolines

minibounce trampolines

These super cute and colourful circular trampolines are deceiving as they pack a heap of bounce into every jump. Our 4 year old’s were getting some serious air and having the time of their lives. The great news is there is plenty of padding and space between the seven trampolines to prevent kids bumping into each other. Every child can have their own private trampoline and jump at a level they feel comfortable.

Ball pit with slide and interactive screen

We spent a lot of time in the HUGE ball pit. By far one of the biggest we’ve seen in Brisbane in recent times and we’ve been to a LOT of indoor playcentres. It is filled to the brim with thousands of plastic balls and a really fast slide that lets kids launch themselves into the ball pit over and over again! There’s also an interactive screen for kids to throw balls at and a large inflatable rocker. We loved that the mini bounce staff were on hand at all times in the ball pit to support young kids to navigate the area. It also meant us parents didn’t have to wade in to support our kids to climb up to the slide.

If you’ve got a little acrobat on your hands they are going to love the mini bounce Carindale take on the larger flip area you may have seen at BOUNCE. Kids can tumble down the large trampoline before landing on the huge air-filled cushion. It feels just like landing on a jumping castle and is heaps of fun!

High nets space

For kids who love to climb, the top level of the multi-storey playground features a netted climbing area. This is an area that parents will struggle to follow their kids into, so it’s very helpful that mini bounce staff are on hand to support kids as they navigate their way. Your little humans will love escaping into the clouds out of the reach of their parents. Rest assured you can keep an eye on them by standing below and looking up through the nets. Mini bounce staff are always on hand to help little kids come back down to earth when they’re ready to explore something new.

Multi storey playground

There are heaps of obstacles tucked away throughout the multi storey, soft play arena at mini bounce. Kids are challenged to jump, balance, throw, crawl, climb, shoot and slide their way around the many levels of the playground. The big racing slides are always a winner with four kids able to race at once. We found it very easy to get around with our energetic two year old who was eager to push the limits during our visit.

Mini ninja challenges

The parkour athletes of tomorrow can build up their confidence on the mini bounce ninja course which includes a balance beam, stepping stones and foam shapes. Junior jumpers can use the obstacles to climb and balance while harnessing their inner ninja warrior.

Mini bounce toddler area

Firstly, all of mini bounce is soft play but this space dedicated to our littlest loves is packed full of extra cushioned climbing frames and toys. It’s tucked away nicely from the area for the preschooler’s too so there’s plenty of room for crawling without the risk of being knocked over. We also noted that there was great visibility from the café for tired parents needing a coffee. The foam building blocks, padded climbing frame with a slide and other toys are a big hit with little kids too.

Mini bounce Cafe

You’ll find heaps of food options at the onsite mini bounce Carindale cafe which boasts panoramic views of the entire play area and FREE Wi-Fi.

Mini bounce staff are always on hand to help

Just like the bigger BOUNCE locations, MiniBounce has staff positioned across the play area to help kids navigate each experience. This can be really helpful in some of the more challenging areas such as the climbing nets or ball pit. Of course, families are also welcome to explore mini bounce with their kids but it’s good to know the experts are there to help if you need a hand.
