2019 Mayors Christmas Carols Event Information

The Mayors Christmas Carols is one of the biggest Christmas events on the Gold Coast. This sensational Christmas concert will be held at the Broadwater Parklands main stage in Southport on Saturday the 7th of December. It’s always an amazing night for the whole family! So bring a picnic blanket and find yourself the perfect spot on the lawn to enjoy the evening.

There will be an incredible line up performers including some famous faces from television (like host David Campbell) as well as local talent. They will be singing all your favourite Christmas carols. Children will be delighted by special entertainment that is sure to get them dancing and singing.

The free event is hosted by Mercedes-Benz Gold Coast Ambassador Shelley Craft, and will boast a bunch of food truck  and of  course no Christmas concert would be complete without a visit from Santa and his helpers up on stage!

The main show kicks off at 5pm, with the kid’s fun commencing at 2pm. Please note – as a mark of respect for those suffering from bush fires, the fireworks extravaganza will not run in 2019.

There will be food and drinks available (via foodtrucks) to purchase at the Mayors Christmas Carols. Or you can bring along a picnic for your family. Keep in mind this event is strictly alcohol free.

For The Kids

In addition to the music and entertainment if your children need to run around and play (maybe before the concert commences) the Broadwater Parklands has an incredible playground. And for any trip to the Broadwater Parklands with the kids it’s wise to bring a change of clothes and a towel, because The Rockpools water park (right near the main stage lawn) is irresistible to little ones who just can’t help but get their feet wet!

Getting There

There is parking available at the Broadwater Parklands, which is free on weekends, but if that parking area fills up head over to the Australia Fair and you’re sure to find a spot.

Alternatively you can avoid the hassle and catch the G:Link light rail which stops right near the event.
