There’s always something happening at Adderton: house and heart of mercy. The rejuvenated Adderton: house & heart of mercy is a space for the community, focused on creativity, engagement, justice, learning and reflection. It is an exciting initiative of the Sisters of Mercy Brisbane Congregation. Adderton is a place for you to be inspired, try new skills, connect and be valued, learn, get involved, reflect, or just relax for a while – and it’s not just for grown-ups! Throughout school holidays and even in term time there are crafts, workshops and activities specifically designed for children to enjoy. Some activities are free, and some involve a small cost for materials and tuition, but all are designed to engage and inspire.
Workshops focus on creativity, using fabrics, paint, recyclables, yarn and items found in the home.
Activities for Kids@Adderton are designed to engage, inspire, and develop mindfulness. They might focus on the environment, hopes and dreams, multicultural awareness, and connection. There is usually something happening for kids of all ages to enjoy at Adderton.
Storytime is a regular event for Kids@Adderton aged under 5. Aftrewards, parents can stay to chat and enjoy a coffee together.

Adderton for families
Adderton: house and heart of mercy is a place for adults to connect and enjoy crafts and workshops too, with talks, art classes, exhibitions and displays open and happening all year round. Drop the kids at school and enjoy a relaxing couple of hours in the peaceful rooms and environment of Adderton: house and heart of mercy.
Everyone is welcome at Adderton: house & heart of mercy. Adderton is inclusive and accessible for all ages and people with a range of inspiring and engaging programs, exhibitions, tours and events. There is The Good Cup cafe on site for refreshments in the courtyard.
Adderton: house & heart of mercy overlooks the Brisbane River, with expansive views of the Story Bridge. Located in the All Hallows’ Convent, at 547 Ann Street, it is close neighbours with All Hallows’ School. Visitors to Adderton are asked to please be considerate of students and staff of All Hallows’ School as outlined in their conditions of entry.
