Foreshore Fireworks – FREE New Year’s Eve Celebration in Redcliffe

Foreshore Fireworks New Year’s Eve is coming to the Northside! This year’s event will be part of the Redcliffe Markets and will include TWO spectacular fireworks displays.

Disclaimer: We are in the process of updating this article! This event has not been confirmed for this year yet.

Where are the NYE Foreshore Fireworks and Redcliffe Markets held?

Head down the Redcliffe Esplanade for a great NYE. There’s limited parking in the area and on the surrounding streets but please be mindful of both parking signs AND parking over people’s driveways and lawns. Make sure you treat the area respectfully so that all can enjoy the celebration! See the details about the shuttle bus service below.

NYE Foreshore Fireworks and Markets Start Time

The Fireworks are TBC for 2023

However, there will be lots to do before and after the fireworks – things that will keep the whole family entertained. From 5pm ‘til 10pm you’ll be able to meander amongst a market wonderland brimming with treasures and trinkets, gourmet street food and plenty of free entertainment for little kids and big kids alike. Featuring the very best of SE Qld’s gourmet market eats – rest assured there’ll be no shortage of treats!

Families Tip: To stay on top of all the activities follow their event on Facebook.

Like anything that is fantastically fun for families, it will be busy, so make a plan, head to your ‘spot’ reasonably early and have an exit strategy!

The event includes:

  • Sideshow alley games
  • Free entertainment
  • Live music
  • The best line up of gourmet eats and drinks

Parking

Limited parking is available in the surrounding streets to Foreshore Fireworks. You are advised to arrive early & be mindful of local residents when parking. Our advice is to utilise public transport (www.translink.com.au).

Road closures are required and have to be implemented in the interest of public safety, which therefore leaves some parking restrictions.  We would like to remind you that traffic will be busy during your visit to Foreshore Fireworks, therefore, we strongly recommend you allow extra time when planning your trip to the event.

Remember that sometimes little ears can be sensitive to fireworks! We recommend investing in some child-friendly headphones or some ear muffs to make the night more enjoyable for tiny tots. You’ll also definitely need to stock up on things like insect spray and be aware that, even in the fading light, it’s well worth your while to apply sunscreen to yourself and your little people.

  1. Thanks for the advance notice, perfect timing, we were trying to figure out where to go for early fireworks! (We’ve been away for the last few years and have a tradition of pretending that the 8ish fireworks are actually midnight ones :)).

  2. Brilliant news. So great that there’s a family-friendly option for the northside…and that is a perfect location. Fireworks over the Bay will be spectacular. Well done Families Magazine and The Bel. Can’t wait to join your celebration!

  3. I heard that the Scarborough ones aren’t happening again this year, is that right? We went to Bribie last year so this is much more convenient.

  4. Oh dear, we live just around the corner from there, will have to send our dog somewhere for the evening lest he lose his poor puppy mind with the noise.

  5. We’re so lucky to be outsourcing our kids this NYE so we can go be grown ups. My SIL lives in Northgate and will have five kids in total on the night so I might suggest she bring them down your way!

  6. Not sure about kids out at a pub at NYE but at least if it finishes before the real drinking begins it will be OK. There’s some kind of VIP room isn’t there? How much are tix please?

  7. Hey Everyone!

Yes, we’re really excited – no just to be sponsoring but also to go!

Sofia, there’ll be tons of room to view, Bramble Bay is the ideal set up for viewing them with tons of foreshore to stand at. The best view however will be at The Bel. There’ll be approximately a million kids on the waterfront 🙂

Candy, Scarborough is Christmas fireworks I believe. <3 this time of year! I'm one of those people who squeeee when Christmas decorations start to appear in stores.

Shelley, yeah us too. Our dog will be able to hear it too. Our vet gave us a mild sedative for him last year and he slept through it all.

    Dell, we aim to please

Mike and Crystal, yes the Bel is putting on a VIP room for parents and kids. I think the tickets are about $85 but you can confirm with the venue - as an added bonus you get the PERFECT viewing point. It'll all be done and dusted by 9.00 so you can get the kids home before NYE starts in earnest. That event will give you a bit of a buffer from the masses too. The Bel is a really nice venue though, it's not rough so I imagine it won't be too rowdy.

Just let us know if you have any questions - we'll sort you out 🙂 Janine, Jesse, Regina, Karen, Ala and Dana #teamfamilies

  8. Hey Families Mag

This sounds perfect. We’d be coming down from Everton Park – what’s the best way to this specific place? I get a bit confused by that side of town and don’t want to “get trapped”

  12. As northsiders we are so excited to know we have family friendly fireworks coming to Redcliffe. 830 is a perfect time for us too. It means we can eat dinner and bath, go to the fireworks and put our daughter to bed promptly after all without fighting the city crowds.
