Wildlife Wise, World Wildlife Day | Logan

Celebrate World Wildlife Day in Logan at the Chambers Flat Community Centre on Saturday, March 8. This is your chance to get up close with native animals, learn from wildlife experts, and find out how to make a difference for the environment.
Adults can learn practical advice on creating wildlife-friendly spaces at home, get tips from Logan City Council’s environment officers, and discover how to support local wildlife rescue and care organisations.
Kids will have the chance to meet native animals and join hands-on nature activities. They’ll explore the habitats wildlife live in, find out how they survive, and learn ways to safely observe them in Logan’s natural areas. Sessions for kids will run at the same time as the adults’ session, so kids aged 5 and over won’t need to be directly supervised.
This event is suitable for individuals and families but important guidelines should be followed. All attendees must register, including both children and adults. The adult session is recommended for ages 13 and over, while kids’ activities are ideal for those aged 5 and up.
On the day, arrive 15 minutes early for check-in. Bring a water bottle and snacks or a picnic lunch, as there are no food outlets at the venue.
Logan City Council is delivering this event in partnership with Geckoes Wildlife and the Wildlife Preservation Society of QLD as part of the City of Logan’s Environmental Events and Activities Program.
The event is free, but spaces are limited, so make sure to book tickets for everyone in your group. Don’t miss out on this fun and educational day of connecting with nature and wildlife.
