What’s On in Brisbane for Families
Families Magazine shares what’s on for families with kids of all ages across Brisbane, Ipswich, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba. In our ‘What’s On’ in Brisbane this weekend for families calendar you will find our team’s suggestions for weekday, weekend, night-time and school holiday events and activities. All our suggestions suit families and are kid friendly.

Spring Family Fun Day at Pine Rivers Art Gallery
12 October @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
This year’s theme is connect for mental health, focusing on the ways we can all nurture and support positive mental health and wellbeing for ourselves and our community.
This sentiment is mirrored in our current exhibition, Pick Me, in which artist Claire Ritchie shares with us ways to celebrate our relationships with ourselves. Through her art she reflects on personal experiences to champion and strengthen her relationship to herself.
Through facilitated workshops, drop-in craft sessions, exhibition tours that engage your senses, and so much more, you can also use art, creativity, and conversation to connect with yourself, community, others and nature.
All programs are free to attend; but some have limited places, so bookings are essential.
Visit the Queensland Mental Health Week page to find out more.
