Night adventures: Karawatha frog spotting | Drewvale | 18 September, 2020

Discover the wonders of frog life after dark while exploring the Melaleuca Circuit Track along Scrubby Creek. This free guided night walk will run from 6:30pm to 8:00pm on September 18 with staff from Brisbane City Council’s Environment Centres leading the tour. Take your little explorers for an after-dark adventure in some of the most picturesque bushland around 15 minutes from the Brisbane CBD.
This walk is suitable for all ages 6 years and over and is a FREE Brisbane City Council event. Bookings are essential.
The meeting point for the walk is Stretton Recreation Reserve, Picnic Area, Main carpark. The activity will continue in light rain.
Requirements: The organisers request that you wear secure and fully enclosed walking shoes, long pants, and long sleeves. Bring a small hand-held torch (no headlamps), insect repellent, drinking water, and a raincoat if required. Note: public toilets are available at the meeting point and will be visited before the walk.
