Logan Eco Action Festival (LEAF)
It’s time to celebrate making small changes everyday to help our planet. Head to the Logan Eco Action Festival aka LEAF on Sunday 23 May and join in learning big and small tips to live a more sustainable lifestyle!
There’s interactive presentations and workshops from some of our country’s leaders in sustainability, gardening and waste reduction! Plus eco stall holders, sustainable cooking demos, hands-on craft making, eco-markets, plant sale, an array of food trucks, live music and fun kids’ activities. See the event program here.
Guess which popular kids TV stars are popping into to LEAF? It’s dirtgirlworld! Come and hang out with Scrapboy and Costa the Garden Gnome. You’ll get to see their famous Grubby Bucket show at 10:15am and 12:15pm, and join in a MASSIVE mudpie bakeoff challenge.
Are you wanting to grow your own produce but don’t think you have the space or the know-how? Gardening Australia presenter Jerry Coleby-Williams will share his top tips on how the smallest block of land or veggie patch can produce delicious produce all year round.
Plant based diets have never been more popular or accessible. Whether you want to go full vegan or just expand your meat free menu options, former MasterChef contestant and Head of Food & Nutrition at Eden Retreat, Georgia Barnes will show you some of her favourite meat free dishes on the Homegrown stage at LEAF 2021!
Looking for ways to make your backyard more wildlife friendly? Get along to the ECO Dome and join in a FREE workshop and build your own bee or frog hotel. Stocks are limited, so make sure you get in early.

Head to the Homegrown Stage to see LEAF’s resident sustainable cooking guru Valarie Pearson lead these great classes:
