Lanternfest 2023 | Kangaroo Point

Head along to a traditional German Laternenfest on Saturday 10 June 2023 at Kangaroo Point, and help raise funds for the Brisbane German Language School!
Laternenfest 2023 will include live German music, lantern making competitions (for both young and young at heart), prizes, raffles, entertainment and more. It’s a fantastic family afternoon/evening outing celebrating all things German including great food like Bratwurst, Pretzels and Gluhwein. After the sun has set, put those newly made lanterns to use with the famous lantern parade.

- 4EB Radio Station – 140 Main Street, Kangaroo Point
- $5 per adult and $3 per child (Under 18 years). Lantern making sessions are an additional $10 per person.

Need to know: Overwhelming demand to attend Laternenfest last year has resulted in numerous significant changes to the way that Laternenfest 2023 will be run. This includes online ticketing that limits ticket sales to a number significantly below the estimated attendance of last year to ensure that orhanisers are better positioned to cater to the tastes, sounds and creative flair of all patrons at Laternenfest 2023. There are a limited number of tickets available. Don’t miss out!
