Ladies Auxiliary Charity Twilight Markets, South Brisbane
25 November, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Christmas is coming early to South Brisbane this year. The inaugural Greek Orthodox Community of St George Ladies Auxiliary Twilight Christmas Markets will take place on Saturday the 25th of November at 6:30pm. The church courtyard at 25 Besant Street will be transformed into a bustling marketplace in the name of charity, with all funds raised from the markets going to support families in need this Christmas.
Enjoy an evening out with the whole family exploring a variety of stalls selling everything from homemade gifts and trinkets to packaged Christmas jams and chocolates. After you’ve had your fill of shopping, indulge in the delicious market food and beverages on offer including fish and chips, ice cold frappes and everyone’s favourite Greek loukoumades. The festive atmosphere will be contagious, with dazzling decorations, carolling and even a visit from Santa himself.
The welfare arm of the Greek Orthodox Community of St George takes great pride in offering assistance to the vulnerable members of both the local Greek community and wider local community, particularly over the Christmas period. Funds raised from the Twilight Christmas Markets will facilitate the provision of gifts and food to families in need over Christmas as well as helping to provide ongoing practical aid where possible.
Entry to the markets is free, however the option to make a gold coin donation will be available with these funds also going towards helping families in need.
Secure Parking Brisbane has generously offered attendees of the Twilight Christmas Markets discounted parking for the occasion. Market patrons can enjoy $5 parking at the 10 Browning Street Car Park in South Brisbane. Simply pre-book online through Secure A Spot and use the promo code GREEKWEND.
Get your family & friends together for a festive evening not to be missed.
