Kids Egyptian & Middle Eastern Drumming | Queensland Museum

Kids Egyptian and Middle Eastern Drumming

Find your rhythm these school holidays by joining our Egyptian & Middle Eastern Drumming workshop, led by talented percussionist, drummer and founder of Joyful Drumming, Adel Amin!

Learn about drumming techniques, culture and artistic application as you explore the beat on a hand drum.

This workshop celebrates our newest exhibition Discovering Ancient Egypt.

Please note that adult supervision is required at all times throughout the workshop. Maximum of two parents per participating child are required to supervise for the duration of the workshop. Parents do not require a ticket.

AGES 5-11
Tuesday 14 January: 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM, 11:30 AM – 12:15 PM
Wednesday 15 January: 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM*, 11:30 AM – 12:15 PM

AGES 12+
Thursday 16 January: 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM*, 11:30 AM – 12:15 PM

Location: Queensland Museum Kurilpa Dino Garden, Level 0

*These sessions will be Auslan interpreted.
