Magical Shakespeare – Interactive Workshop
Sat 14 Nov, 10:30am – 11:30am | 4MBS Performance Studio, 384 Old Cleveland Road, Coorparoo
Join Maxine and Nadine by the cauldron as they explore the creepy world of Shakespeare’s wicked witches from the famous play Macbeth. Children will learn about the mischief these meddling creatures created, and add wacky ingredients to the cauldron to brew a charm of powerful trouble. They will practice their best witch impersonation and cackle to help recite the magic spell!
The magic continues with an introduction to Shakespeare’s comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Children will learn some of the famous lines from the play, and make their own headdresses to feel like Oberon and Titania, King and Queen of the fairies!
It’s the perfect taste-tester for families who may then want to come to attend the free outdoor performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream – and children can wear the headdresses they made!
Recommended age: 3-12 years
