Brisbane Open House 2024 | New Farm
13 July @ 8:00 am - 14 July @ 5:00 pm
Welcome to Brisbane Open House 2024: 13 + 14 July!
Brisbane Open House 2024 will celebrate Brisbane’s history, heritage, and architecture with a packed program of buildings, spaces, structures, and places open to the public. Visitors can unlock the city and enjoy a curated selection of heritage and contemporary buildings, including some of Brisbane’s most iconic buildings, newest projects, and best-kept secrets.
The 2024 program makes Open House even more accessible! The program is free to attend and designed with a geo-focused approach to inner Brisbane, making it easy to visit as many buildings and activities as possible.
As a new addition, the Brisbane Open House Villages of Brisbane, a localised and focused celebration of a Brisbane suburb, will be included in the weekend’s programming. This year, it will be the vibrant, inner-city suburb of New Farm. Open House will be working closely with the New Farm & Districts Historical Society, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
Another exciting addition to the 2024 program is the full-day Speaker Series, a unique opportunity to engage with some of Brisbane’s most prominent architects, designers, planners, and professionals. Head to the Brisbane Powerhouse on Sunday, 14 July, for insightful conversations about the forefront of urban planning and its influence on our city and its buildings.
The program will also have two key hubs: Thomas Dixon Centre—Queensland Ballet in West End and Brisbane Powerhouse—New Farm. Both will feature a range of activations across the weekend, including building tours, Queensland Ballet recitals, and a sundown meditation.
Beyond this, visitors can enjoy a number of guided walks and tours, various activities and workshops, and opportunities to meet locals and architects alike and discover what makes this city buzz.
Don’t forget to visit the Kid’s Activity Area at Brisbane Powerhouse on the 14th, from 9am to 3pm! The kids will love getting creative with colouring and LEGO city building.
Brisbane Open House looks forward to welcoming everyone to an exceptional 2024 weekend!
