5 Christmas Eve Box Ideas

There is a growing tradition of giving the kids a Christmas Eve Box on the 24th December to get them right into the spirit of Xmas. Some families I know use this additional gift as a way to get the kids to go to bed without a fuss on Christmas Eve as generally the box will contain brand new Christmas pyjamas. Some families just love the opportunity of sharing a little bit more of the Xmas spirit just before the big day. Whatever your reason for creating a Christmas Eve box, we’ve put together a few ideas for your kids (and one for the mummas too!)

Christmas Eve Box – 1) – Under $15

I saw this before and do a Christmas movie, Christmas pyjamas and snacks for the movie including hot chocolate sachets and marshmallows. One each for mum, dad and daughter. Mum and dad I tend to get us a normal dvd though!

We get new pjs too as well as a DVD or a game we can play together. I like the glow sticks – would be for wearing out to see Christmas lights.

Ive been trying to perfect the Christmas eve box for a few years now…. heres what ive come up with, new pjs, a letter from santa, a santa key to put out for santa, reindeer sparkles to sprinkle on the lawn so they can see where to land, Christmas crackers, a xmas kinder egg, chocolate ice magic and yummy toppings for xmas eve ice desserts. I was putting in Christmas books, movies and soft toys initially but found these were a bit of a waste unless they were given more time in advance.. now we have a great after dinner tradition of getting ready for santa before settling into a Christmas Eve movie with yummy ice cream, just beautiful family time
