With a proven academic record of achievement, Beenleigh State High School offers a supportive learning environment to its students.
The school offers acceleration programs in Mathematics, Science and English as well as unique programs in Music, Agriculture and Sport for all students. The school’s Careers Support Officer works with students to organise traineeships and apprenticeships to help with the transition into the workforce. Additionally, the Jigsaw education provision supports students in the fields of Learning Support (Literacy/Numeracy), ESL (English as a second language), Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander programs, Gifted and Talented, Enrichment/Challenge programs, Group work – Team Up (PCYC) and Living Relationships Beenleigh State High School is proud of its strong community focus, with an active Parents and Community Association. The school offers programs that are tailored for School Based Apprentices and School Based Trainees, and all year 11 and 12 students get to choose from 25 Authority and 14 Authority Registered and VET subjects.

Beenleigh State High School introduced a student laptop program in 2011, allowing students access to their own laptop/tablet on which they can use to study at home and online. School classrooms have interactive whiteboards or fixed data projectors.

Beenleigh State High School follows a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) system based on the school’s motto: ‘We Care, We are Responsible, We Achieve’. PBL works by setting consistent rules that are clearly set out for each area of the school and are expected to be followed.
Rules are taught in the classroom, with teacher’s consistently ensuring students adhere to expectations. There is a PBL reward system in place for students that comply with school rules.
