The Ship Inn at Southbank

Hire a community hall
If you have a budget to stick to and lots of people to invite, hiring one of your local council halls can be the perfect DIY party solution. You can usually pick the keys up in advance to decorate the venue, and most halls will have tables and chairs, toilets, kitchen facilities, room to dance and plenty of parking for your own private use. We’ve tried and tested this with pre-bought platters and a hired DJ, but you can always rope in friends and family to help with the catering and set-up, keep the Blue Tooth boombox going, and clean up afterwards.
