Review – Tabatinga Seagulls Club, Tweed Heads

Why Tabatinga is perfect for families!

Tabatinga is not your average play centre!

Located inside Seagulls Club at Tweed Heads, Tabatinga is a play centre like no other. The clean bright facilities, unique play options, awesome party plans and the weekend ‘Play and Dine’ options make it one of Gold Coast Editor, Rebel Wylie’s favourite destinations for fun and dining.

So much thought and creativity have gone into making Tabatinga Seagulls a unique play experience for families. The rainforest vibe throughout makes it a bright and inviting play space that my kids love running into. From the minute you enter you know you are in for adventure. Everything is big, bold, bright and promises fun.

More than a ball bit and slides, Tabatinga is a next-level play space. There’s a huge multi-level climbing structure, a light up dance-floor, glow-in-the-dark mini-golf, party rooms, a gorgeous and safe toddler area, a ‘Balladium’ ball blasting arena … there’s even a chill-out zone with beanbags and lounges and a movies on a big screen.

So that’s the kids sorted. But it’s great for parents too.

Firstly there’s room. Tonnes of room. You’re not sitting on top of anyone else, it’s really quite comfortable – which is great, because with so much on offer your kids are not going to want to leave any time soon. Trust me.

Tabatinga also enjoys the air-conditioned comfort of the rest of the leagues club and, get this … FREE WIFI and a cafe with a great variety of options. And it’s not just chips and nuggets either – there is some good food on offer for you and your family.

‘Play and Dine’ at Tabatinga

Speaking of food! Date night sound appealing? This is perhaps my favourite feature on offer.

Here’s the deal, on Friday and Saturday nights – after the regular trading hours, between 6-9.30pm – the amazing staff at Tabatinga will play with your *children AND give them dinner, while you enjoy the rest of the club – including Mangrove Restaurant and The Star Buffet.

It’s completely safe, only the children (no parents) who have been signed are using the facilities, and nobody can leave until signed out again.

This is often the only chance my husband and I get to have an uninterrupted adult conversation together. It’s also a great option for catching up with fellow families. The kids all have a blast, the adults get a meal in peace, and nobody’s house get trashed. Winning!

*Children must be over three-years-old and fully toilet trained

Theme nights and parties

Keep an eye on their social media, Tabatinga hosts epic parties of their own (which often coincide with ‘Play and Dine’ hours!) for Halloween, Easter and Christmas. They often have giveaways and promotions too, so definitely worth following along.

Tabatinga also offer party packages for your child’s birthday in one of the three themed party areas. The menu options are great and everything is taken care of for you.

VIP memberships are available.
