Kids Touch Football Clubs for Kids in Brisbane & Beyond

Touch football is a non-contact team sport similar to rugby league that is fast growing as one of the most popular sports for Brisbane kids both in and out of school. A number of variants of Touch Football have evolved to make it accessible to any age and any skill level, and children as young as three can participate in kids touch football clubs – some variations even allow for the whole family to play in Families Mixed Teams!

We’ve listed some of the touch football variations below and when you find the style that appeals to you most keep scrolling down to find a local Brisbane Touch Football association near you. Our handy Brisbane Touch Football map below will also help!

Austouch and Touch Footy:

AusTouch is great fun for kids who have little or no experience playing touch football. The program introduces the basics and builds on those skills over the season. Touch Footy is just like rugby league but with no rough contact. The ball is passed from player to player without kicking and once the player with the ball is touched the ball is put on the ground. There are two touch football seasons each year; the first from late January to June and the second from mid July to early December.

Kick It Touch:

A newer blend of rugby league and touch footy; a non-contact form of rugby league with a focus on kicking, passing, agility and fun!

OzTag:

OzTag is an eight-a-side game played like rugby league but with a big difference! Instead of tackling to bring a player down a defenders objective is to snatch a strip of cloth from the opposing players shorts, effectively tagging them! OzTag is played in a spring season (signing on August/September) and an autumn season signing on in January/February.
