Eco-friendly safari tents a new drawcard for Lamington National Park visitors

News just out today has announced that the Green Mountains Campground is getting a facelift with the addition of sustainable safari tents. These will be a fantastic drawcard for families looking to go camping, possibly for the first time without having to invest in all the camping equipment so they can ‘give it a go!’

Green Mountains Campground is in the world heritage-listed (in 1994) Lamington National Park and the new safari tents will be a major drawcard for visitors to the Gold Coast hinterland looking for a unique experience.

O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat will revitalise the Green Mountains campground

Green Mountains campground is getting a complete facelift to enhance visitor experience. Fifteen safari tents will be constructed from the middle of 2017 on the site.

  • 20 powered camp sites for those who prefer to pitch a tent or use a campervan

Safari tents for families on a budget

With safari tents, just about anyone can give camping a go! Safari tents are a great option for families wanting to try camping but without the hassle and expense of purchasing all the necessary equipment.

The semi-permanent tents will include a double bed and bunks and we will be using eco-smart materials to help cope with the humidity and rainfall.
