San Sisto College is a Catholic girls school located in Carina, Brisbane. Catering for Years 7-12, San Sisto College offers state-of-the-art facilities and a challenging, innovative and exciting learning environment that caters for all learning styles. The College focuses on excellence in academic achievement and performance, and is a values-driven campus based on the four Dominican Pillars of Community, Study, Prayer and Service.

A central feature of the College is the WELL – a centre designed to enhance the wellbeing of students by providing them with a space to draw breath, relax and unwind quietly. As a Catholic college, there is also a chapel where class and whole college masses are celebrated.

Teaching facilities include the new Caesarini building with four general learning areas, two flexible learning areas, a home economics classroom, dining room and commercial-grade catering kitchen. There is the purpose-built Albertine Science Precinct that incorporates four science classrooms, a prep room and a science courtyard, and the Dominic Centre with four computer labs.

The St Jude Resource Centre is located in the middle of the College with a fully resourced library on the upper level and a café on the lower level.

The music hub of the College is the Sister Helen Ryan Centre, with a dedicated music classroom, teaching pods for students learning instruments, and a band room. The College’s largest facility is the 700-seat Siena Centre, which provides an excellent space for performing arts as well as sport and fitness.

San Sisto College has established gardens and breakout areas, like the College Labyrinth, that give students a place to laugh, contemplate and reflect. There are also excellent sporting facilities including two multi-purpose outdoor courts for tennis, basketball and netball.

San Sisto College has an exceptional instrumental music program led by instrumental teachers and band conductors. Tuition is available for flute, piccolo, oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, French horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, baritone, euphonium, violin, viola, cello, double bass, guitar, orchestral percussion, drum kit and piano, as well as voice and theory of music.

The College choir is available for girls in Years 8-12 and focuses on enjoyment and the sense of achievement derived from performing. The choir takes part in school liturgies, events, concerts and combined programs.

A college music production is held every second year.

San Sisto also has wide-ranging sporting options, with an emphasis on having fun, getting fit and being involved. Sports offerings include athletics (track and field), basketball, cross country, indoor cricket, hockey, netball, soccer, swimming, tennis, touch football and volleyball. Students also have the opportunity to represent the college at district level.

The college is a member of the Metropolitan East School Sport and CaSSSA (Catholic Secondary Schoolgirls Sports Association).
