Heiner Park Keperra

Just a short walk from Oxford Park Railway Station is Heiner Park, a stunning play place for kids of all ages!  With “not seen anywhere else” play equipment, large shady trees and plenty of open space, it’s the perfect place for families to spend a day!

Heiner Park for Little Kids and Big

Heiner Park is perfect for the littler members of your family, especially those who love trains.  Bordering the Ferny Grove Train Line, there’s plenty of opportunities to spot a real train, but there’s also imaginative play for little train spotters.  Train Play Brisbane

It’s not just about fun play though.  The park was developed in accordance with sensory and physical development objectives – designed to trigger spontaneous play in children of all ages and abilities.  The complex play structure is designed especially to challenge children to keep taking adventure to “the next level” – focused on mental, sensory and physical development.  Learn more here.

While not all play structures in the park are suited to kids with physical disabilities, there are some  options and the park is easily accessed by wheelchair.

A park designed for parents to love

There’s plenty of shady spots for parents to sit and the whole park has been created with ease of access in mind.  There’s walkways for prams, easy picnic and BBQ facilities and a wide open, “easy to keep one eye on them” layout so parents can relax a little too!    Note though, this is NOT a fenced playground!

Facilities and Nearby Activities

With the cricket grounds and clubhouse opening up, this is set to become a major north side park – for now though, the closest public toilets are at the railway station.  Nearby kid friendly dining includes Tow Charming Finches and a few of the usual suspects on the main road.  There is no dog off leash area at the park so leave your fur babies at home.

Getting There

Heiner park has three street access and is an easy walk from Oxford Park Station.  It’s a work in progress and will soon feature more excellent recreational facilities.  If you’ve been once, it’s time to go back and check out what’s new!
